Recycled Uniforms For Honda Insulation👕➡♻

Honda's new green initiative turns old workwear into sleek car insulation, saving 45,000 pounds of waste from landfills every month!

Teaming up with big names like Aramark, Cintas, UGN Automotive, and Leigh Fibers, Honda is taking old uniforms from several states and transforming them into your car's insulation.

🤷🏽‍♂️ How It's Done:

  1. Old uniforms are collected and sent to Leigh Fibers.

  2. Zippers and buttons are removed.

  3. Textiles are shredded and mixed with polyester fibers from plastic bottles.

  4. Fibers are packaged and sent to UGN.

  5. Fibers are molded for use in Honda and Acura vehicle insulation.

Since 2021, a jaw-dropping 380,000 pounds of uniforms are already back on the road thanks to this green initiative.

Honda's green ventures don't stop there. From soybean foam headrests to seat fabrics made of plant-based material and volcanic rocks for roof liners, Honda is redefining sustainable vehicle production. 🌱

🔮 Honda Sensing Your Future! It’s Safe for Everyone

Honda Sensing® is the ULTIMATE advanced driver system that's turned heads since its 2006 Acura RL debut! It's not just about braking anymore; imagine detecting road signs and even gauging driver alertness in real time! 🚦👀

⚡ Flashback: Honda was the FIRST to introduce automatic emergency braking for mass-produced cars. And today? The 11th-gen Civic flaunts a revamped Honda Sensing system, capturing a wider field than ever!

📢 Quick Breakdown:

  1. Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS): It doesn't just beep! This system automatically brakes if you're too close to danger! On some models, CMBS includes pedestrian sensing and automatic emergency braking (Pedestrian AEB). CMBS also functions with Foward Collision Warning or FCW for short. FCW uses the monocular camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead and to determine whether a collision is imminent. If the FCW system detects a vehicle or pedestrian in front of the vehicle and the speed differential between the vehicle and object indicates a collision may occur, it will sound an audible alert and trigger a visual warning on the instrument panel and Head-Up Display.

  1. Road Departure Mitigation (RDM): 🚦 Lane drifting? Get a flashy visual warning! RDM uses the monocular camera to identify solid or dashed painted lane lines, Botts' dots, and cat's eye markers. Depending on the model, RDM uses steering force, braking, or both to help the vehicle stay in its lane.

RDM also lets you customize your alerts! Choose from steering wheel vibes to audio alerts. Keep it on 'Normal', try 'Wide', or get an early 'Narrow' nudge. Just want a heads-up? Use the 'Warn Only' mode so you stay in complete control.

  1. Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): Your Highway Co-Pilot! 🚗💨

Driving 45-90 mph? LKAS keeps your drive smooth, auto-correcting if you drift! Using its sharp camera, it spots U.S. road markers and ensures you're center-lane. No more lane drift worries!"

  1. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Heavy traffic? Relax! Honda adjusts your speed based on traffic, even down to a full stop. A short, medium, long, or extra-long interval of distance can be selected. When required, the vehicle automatically brakes to maintain the set interval.

  1. Driver Attention Monitor: Feeling sleepy?😴 Your Honda knows! It'll suggest taking a break before you even realize you need one. 🛑 It continually monitors and assesses driver behavior behind the wheel to help determine if the driver is becoming inattentive. If the system determines the driver is tired or inattentive, it issues a warning on the gauge panel for the driver to take a break.

But, and this is big: ⚠️ Always have your hands on the wheel! Honda Sensing enhances your driving; it doesn’t replace you!
