Here’s what’s coming up:
Join us at HSR Classic Daytona 24
The Honda CR-V turns 30 years old!
Honda dominates SUV Brand Loyalty Award for 2nd year running.

Join us for the HSR Classic 24 at Daytona
Alright, hear me out. It’s not about the nostalgia for old cars. The HSR Classic 24 at Daytona really is something that has to be experienced in person because seeing Le Mans prototypes in person is not something I can put into words. The sheer size of the race wings (if they have one), chonky race tires, and more. What’s not to love?
I don’t care about the era. I care about the thought and time spent by race engineers building these masterpieces akin to the work of a horologist (that’s a clockmaker, for the uninitiated).
For the event itself, expect timed sessions for each separate “class” that each racing legend will be categorized under. This goes on for 24 hours. It’s about the endurance aspect and not so much about breaking land speed records or stuff like that.
If you’re a race nerd like us, sign up! You can get added perks if you’re among the first to RSVP at our car corral after buying tickets.
America’s Favorite “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle” turns 30 today!

Awkward years happen to everybody
Congratulations to America’s Favorite Honda, the CR-V! For today’s fun fact, did you know that CR-V is short for “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle”? Thank goodness nobody actually calls it that in daily conversation.
Which CR-V generation looks the best? |
Going all the way back to October 1995 in Sayama, Japan, the original CR-V was built by borrowing many 6th-gen Honda Civic components (there’s 11 Civic generations, in case you were wondering).
We’ve talked many times about what makes Honda special and that’s active listening. You see, by 1990, Honda had already passed Chrysler as the 3rd largest car seller in the States behind only American big dogs, General Motors and Ford. And Honda kept cooking.

By the mid to late 1990s, Honda would continue bringing out new models to a rapidly growing fanbase in America. Some names that you may have heard of before like the
Honda NSX / Acura NSX Supercar (1990)
Odyssey (1995 in USA)
CR-V (1995 in Japan / 1997 in USA)
Insight hybrid (1999 and the first-ever hybrid to hit the US market)
S2000 (1999, introduced as MY00)
But focusing on the Virthday Vehicle here, the CR-V was one of the first “urban SUVs” to hit the road. Nowadays we call them crossover SUVs and every brand sells one, but let’s not take for granted how instrumental the CR-V was in paving the way for more automakers to follow.
We want spacious vehicles but not all of us need to get a massive truck or a third row SUV when we have a smaller family and live in a city, or maybe we want to have a convenient vehicle for doing big grocery hauls, or for carrying their musical instruments or soil bags for my house plants, or… — yeah you get it.

Congrats, Comfortable Runabout Vehicle, for successfully avoiding a midlife crisis as you turn 30 while showing no signs of slowing down.
No hair dye here. Only more space and smart Honda tech.
Honda Ranks #1 in SUV Brand Loyalty — Again.

Honda Pilot
The CR-V’s evolution shows that it’s not just nostalgia that keeps people loyal. For the second year in a row, Honda has been named #1 in brand loyalty among mainstream SUV owners by J.D. Power. The ranking reflects the combined performance of Honda’s full SUV lineup—from the entry level HR-V and CR-V to the midsize Passport, the 3-row Pilot, and all-electric Prologue EV.
Earning this recognition twice in a row shows what Honda drivers already know: when you find a vehicle that delivers on reliability, comfort, and value, you stick with it.
Loyalty is not something you get by accident—it’s built through innovation, quality craftsmanship, and the commitment of Honda to create an outstanding ownership experience.
In other words, it’s all about trust. Trust that your SUV will start every morning. Trust that it’ll keep your family safe on the road. Trust that’s it built to last longer than the latest car trend.
It’s easy to see how the CR-V has 30 years’ worth of staying power, earning America’s trust year after year. And with the rest of the Honda SUV lineup following suit, this ranking by J.D. Power makes perfect sense, right?
Right???
